The Mowers returned from the COVID-19 lockdown break in the season white hot, making it two-for-two in grand final rematches for the season.
Moama coach Jodie Lake said her team had returned in sparkling form.
“It was a really pleasing win,” she said.
“They played really well, all our systems were executed in the way we wanted, so I couldn't fault them at all.
“I think teams will have lost a little bit of momentum over the break, but it didn't really show for us.
``We'd had a few really good training sessions prior to the break and the girls went away and did everything they needed to during the time away.
“When you put in that kind of effort in your time off, it shows when you get back on the court and I was really happy with that.
“Everything clicked back into gear, the team did everything the right way and it showed on the scoreboard at the end of the match.”
The win takes the Magpies to a 6-3 record, firming up their position inside the top four of the competition.
And Lake said the team was already discussing where its season sat.
“We know we are now in the back half of the year,” she said.
“We've set ourselves up in the front half to have a crack at finals and to go in with a strong position.
“But we also know we have to face most teams still and you can't think too much about how they played the first time we met them.
“A lot has changed so far this season, everyone is well prepared for the remainder of the year, and if we can stick to what we do well we will set ourselves up even better come finals.”
On the flip side, the young Eagles continue to build as the season goes on.
Netball co-ordinator Chris Day said the team was continuing to build.
“We were probably a bit rusty coming out of the break, which is understandable when we haven't had the opportunities to train together,” he said.
“But after a bit of play things really started to come together and we were able to outscore Moama late in the game.
“We're continuing to work well together, the girls have found the positions on the court that they are best suited to and its starting to show.
“As they play more together they will continue to improve as a side and we hope to see them get even better and maybe pick up a few wins before the end of the season.”
