The Tigers won by one wicket, chasing down the Rhinos’ total of 141 in the last over.
Rhinos’ Manraj Virdi top-scored with 36 while bowlers Tom Irvine, Mark Haberfield, Kepler Lukies and Sam Gordon each took two wickets.
As for the Katty Tigers, Ben Lucas was the star batter with 35 runs, followed by Oliver Mynard.
Meanwhile, Deniliquin’s Dushan Rathwatte took three wickets, making him the best-performing bowler of both his team and the game.
Over at Cobram Showgrounds, Barmah Hotel won the toss and elected to bat against Cobram Tigers.
They made 209 runs, with Brenton Campbell being the highest-scoring batter, making 81 runs not-out.
Henry Congues was Barmah’s best bowler, taking five out of the 10 wickets.
The Tigers failed to chase Barmah’s total, bowled out for 104.
Barooga Recreational Reserve saw the home team annihilate Finley, chasing their 27-run total without the loss of a wicket.
Finley’s Cougar McGrath high-scored for his team with 11 while Barooga’s Benjamin Beaumont and Kale Watkins were their team’s most impressive bowlers with three wickets taken each.
Next Saturday Cobram Tigers will take on the Saints, the Deniliquin Rhinos will take on Barooga while the Bloods and Katty Tigers will clash and Finley and Barmah Hotel will see who is the better team.
