Barooga returned with the bat after posting of 6-308 from 52 overs on the first day of round 14 last week.
After a further 20 overs, Barooga sealed a formidable lead over the Cats with 8-444 from 73 overs.
A large part of the damage inflicted by Barooga came in the form of Zach Dunn, who proved himself with the bat to notch his maiden ton for Barooga A-grade.
Posting 129 from 168 balls, Dunn also top-scored for the match.
Dunn was joined by Crue Lucas (60 from 69) and Hugh Sutton (85 from 66) to take Barooga further beyond the reaches of the embattled Cats.
In turn, Barooga skipper Riyaad Henry (3-19 from six) did his share to dismantle Finley’s top-order batters, confining the Cats to 3-25 after sending Jonty King packing.
Harry Wilkinson top-scored for his side with 46, not-out, but combined efforts with the ball from Jono Oliver (3-30), vice-captain Brendan Lewis (2-26) and Kohen Haddrell (2-28) saw Finley all-out for 103 in the 29th over.
With that, Barooga won the round by an innings and 260 runs.
With such an emphatic win, Barooga has inserted itself into the semi-finals this weekend, when it will face a challenge in first-placed Deniliquin at Deniliquin.
Barooga vice-captain Brendan Lewis said the clash will be a tough ask, but his side won’t be pushed over.
“We love a challenge, and I think we’ve proven that,” he said.
“We’ll fight and fight until the last ball is bowled.
“Our mindset is focused on Tuesday, Thursday, getting the basics, and then Saturday we’ll worry about what happens.”
