The headline division one contest came at Shepparton Golf where two arch rivals went toe-to-toe.
Shepparton Park walked away the victor thanks to a narrow and hard-fought 14-72 to 2-64 triumph.
Margaret Thorne skipped the match-winning rink that clinched a crucial 32-17 win.
Golf’s Kristine Wright (28-20) secured a rink win, while Park’s Graeme Myers (20-19) ensured the winner walked away with 14 points.
The result lifts Park into second spot on 53 points — five behind ladder-leader East Shepparton.
Meanwhile, East secured a nervous nine-shot win over Euroa down in the foothills of the Strahbogie Ranges.
Euroa gave the in-form Eagles an almighty fright, however, the visitors secured all three rink wins and held on for a 16-70 to 0-16 triumph.
Tatura-Hill Top chalked up win number two of the season following its comfortable 15-shot win over Rushworth.
The Bulldogs dropped one rink in the encounter and settled for a 14-80 to 2-65 win.
Rushworth’s Jean Sprague secured the 30-29 rink win over Bulldog skip Phil Boyd.
Lastly, Seymour was made to work hard for its 14-82 to 2-72 win over Kyabram.
Two rinks were separated by one shot, but it was Max Hammond (27-17) who ensured Seymour ran out the winner.
