Taner Tekin has been appointed the inaugural technical director for the club’s female football program from next year onwards.
Tekin brings with him a resume stacked with experience across the code. Involved with Cobram FC for over a decade, he was the guiding force behind the Division Two women’s team’s championship victory in 2022.
Tekin said that while he was sad to be moving on from a head-coaching role, he was excited to see where the club went with female football.
“I wish to thank the club for giving me this opportunity,” he said.
“We have some very talented players coming through the ranks, and I can’t wait to help develop and nurture these players in my new role.”
The club has named Manny Artavilla as head coach for its Division One women’s squad next year.
Artavilla said he was excited to see where the talented group of women could take the team.
“Having seen them develop and grow under Taner’s guidance, I look forward to getting started and seeing where we can go in 2025,” he said.
