The open day will be on Sunday, September 17, starting at 11am.
Club president David Bate said attendees would have free use of the courts and could enjoy a complimentary barbecue.
Drinks will be available to purchase from the bar.
“Any prospective tennis players should come down. Families, friends, whoever wants to come down and enjoy the facility,” Mr Bate said.
Mr Bate has been associated with the club for about 17 years and said joining had great benefits.
“They (locals) should take up tennis for the health benefits. It’s great exercise,” he said.
Recent data shows that roughly one million Australians play tennis.
Mr Bate said the club was a great place to interact with other people in town.
“The club is a good, fun environment. If you’re new to Cobram, the club is a great place to network and meet new people.”
For younger people, the club provides lessons for ages six to 16.
Mr Bate hopes that the people who attend the family-friendly event get a new appreciation of the sport.
“We want to put tennis back on the agenda,” he said.
