Last Wednesday the wet and cold conditions didn’t dampen our spirits as we welcomed the Tocumwal ladies for our annual Murray River Challenge and Pink Day.
It was fantastic to have both clubs getting together for golf, followed by a luncheon fellowship and supporting the cancer awareness day to raise funds for this worthy cause.
Congratulations to CBGC for their win on the day and bringing the trophy back home. Well done and great golf to Maureen Kania and Marg Majernik on their overall winning score of 40 points.
Pennant
Our winter ladies pennant begins this week with CBGC entering two teams, a Division 1 and 2 side. Division 1 will travel to Shepparton to play Numurkah, while Division 2 are at Ky Valley View also against Numurkah. Good luck girls.
Singles knockout
Just one knockout match has been played this week – Jenni Gould defeated Chris Crawford. Jennie will now meet the winner of Cathy McGrath and Marg Wallace in the final.
Saturday
A good field and great conditions saw some very good scores on Saturday. All the winners in the men’s divisions had plus two with Ryan Medcraft and Ross Lacey winning Division 1 and 2 respectively.\
On the ladies side, congratulations to Pam Power winning on a count back with 1 down.
