Emma Corrin, Jack Corrin and Louise Greenwood competed at the five-day event in Western Australia after being selected as part of the Victorian Sprint Team.
Emma Corrin will be bringing some extra luggage back with her from Perth, picking up a number of gold medals at the championships.
She finished first in the under-14 K1 200 section, and later, in the under-14 K2 1000 division, partnering with Asta Mickan from West Lakes, South Australia.
Corrin then claimed two more golds on day two in the under-14 K1 500 and the under-14 Mixed K2 with Alistair Hughes from Bendigo Canoe Club.
On day three, she picked up another two medals, this time silver in the under-14 K1 1000 and gold in the under-14 K2 200 with Mickan.
Then on day four last Friday, Corrin added to her ever-increasing medal tally. She won gold in the under-14 K4 500 section and then silver in the under-14 K2 500.
Friday was also a great day for Greenwood, who claimed three bronze medals across the Vet35 K1 1000, K2 500 and K2 200 sections.
The fifth and final day on Saturday was Jack Corrin’s time to shine as he won four medals of his own.
Jack took out gold in the mini K4 200m, picking up silvers in the men’s K1 mini U10 100m, men’s K1 mini U10 200m and the mini K4 long distance ‘island’ race.
The trio surely almost needed another suitcase to pack all their medals into for the return trip from WA, bringing home seven golds, five silvers and three bronzes home in total.
