The event was played at Kyabram Parkland on Monday, July 8.
A spokesperson said the tournament was organised by Kathy Bell of Parkland, who was ably assisted by Nola Arnold.
“(Thank you) to the catering staff led by Heather Sleeth, the grounds staff and all who helped with the great event at which 12 district clubs were represented,” the spokesperson said.
As part of the official proceedings, Goulburn Murray Golf Association secretary David Roberts welcomed life members Faye Gollan, Joy Kelly and Iris Hicks.
He also introduced local golfing legend, Ann Johnston, before outlining the tradition of the event and thanking all involved in making the event so successful.
“The event honours Ann Johnston whose achievements are too many to list,“ he said.
“(They) include taking part in District and Victorian Championships, representing the Victorian state team on five occasions, including two Australian Championships, being part of the Western Australian state and Australian championship teams, as well as being a member of the Australian Trans-Tasman team.”
Roberts then handed over to GMGA captain Mandy Faram and Ann Johnston to do the presentations.
