Peter Harrison opened the batting for the Bloods at the top of the order, leaving his side on 1-15 after being dismissed by the home side’s Ash Quinn.
Vice-captain Andrew Lean knocked an impressive 63 from 92 deliveries before also being sent for the visitors’ sheds by the hands of Nate Summerville.
The home side’s Brenton Campbell did not make things easy for the Bloods, claiming four wickets from nine overs for 32 runs.
The Bloods finished their batting on 9-156 from 45.
The home side’s task of chasing down the total was helped along by batting efforts from Scotty Morris (35 from 64), Brenton Campbell (21 from 21), and Luke Quinn (49 not out from 53).
It was all over after 36.2 overs.
Nathalia took the win from the Bloods with 6-161.
Looking further afield, the Berrigan Saints hosted Deniliquin, looking to chase their third win of the season. But with serious showings from several Rhinos, such a task was easier said than done.
Towards the top of the order for the visitors, Andrew Hogan bagged a half-century from 64 (including nine fours and a six), Brad Todd took 66 from 66 (also with nine fours and three sixes), and Matt Taylor made 26 from 29 in the middle of the visitors’ batting.
But it was Brodie Bennett who stepped up to the plate, knocking back no fewer than 83 from 56, including a whopping six sixes (and seven fours), eventually helping his side to 9-285 from its 45 overs.
Even a commendable 59 from 104 from captain Jacob Bartlett could do little to lead the Saints across the line, as the home side’s batting ended before the 40th over began with just 122 on the board.
