Police have arrested and charged two people with drug-related offences after executing a warrant at a Mooroopna home on Tuesday, February 21.
The Victoria Police dog squad was called for the warrant, with officers from the Shepparton Divisional Response Unit and Crime Investigations Unit searching the property.
Police said they located a “traffickable” amount of methamphetamine, an amount of cannabis and cash that was allegedly proceeds of crime.
A 54-year-old Mooroopna man and a 38-year-old Mooroopna woman were at the address at the time of the warrant being executed.
Both were arrested.
The man was charged with trafficking and possession of cannabis, possession of methamphetamine, committing an indictable offence while on bail and failing to comply with direction to assist.
The woman was charged with trafficking and possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, hindering an emergency service worker on duty, dealing property suspected to be proceeds of crime, committing an indictable offence while on bail and failing to comply with direction to assist.
Both were brought before Shepparton Magistrates’ Court where there were bailed to appear at a later date.
