Police are investigating after a man may have been hit by a vehicle in Mooroopna on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old man was found injured with cuts to his head and was hospitalised for treatment.
Police believe the man was walking west along McLennan St, about 50m west of the entrance to the Mooroopna Recreation Reserve, when he may have been hit by a vehicle about 10.45pm.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man, who was wearing a black T-shirt, trackpants and runners at the time, or who has dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
According to police, the man said he doesn’t remember the incident but believed he was assisted by a man in his 50s who dropped him to a relative’s home in a silver Ford Territory.
In particular, police would like to hear from the man who reportedly helped the victim and was driving a silver Ford Territory.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
