Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Senior Constable Brodie Asquith said police searched the Shepparton house after an incident the previous night where a car allegedly evaded police in Archer St.
Sen Constable Asquith said the Holden Commodore was allegedly driven on to the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic “at a fast rate of speed” to avoid police about 8pm on Tuesday, December 6.
The officer said police spotted the vehicle without registration plates in the Archer St area and tried to stop it.
Police seized two homemade firearms, three imitation firearms, methamphetamines, GHB and cannabis when they searched the Shepparton house.
A 23-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with dangerous driving while pursued by police, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, failing to stop on police request, driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered vehicle, possession of firearms, trafficking methamphetamines, possessing methamphetamines, possessing ammunition, and dealing with property suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
A second 23-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with possessing GHB, possessing methamphetamines, possessing an unregistered handgun, possessing imitation firearms, possessing ammunition without a licence, and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
