Emergency services responded to the two-vehicle crash on Katamatite-Nathalia Rd about 2km south-east of Nathalia.
The incident occurred just before noon on Thursday, July 11.
The two occupants of one of the vehicles, a 28-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy, both from Nathalia, died at the scene.
The two occupants of the second vehicle, a 76-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman, both from Numurkah, were taken by road to local hospitals.
One was transported to Goulburn Valley Health and the other to Nathalia District Hospital, both in a stable condition.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
