A man who was caught drug driving has been fined $500 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
Bradley Forge, 28, of Shepparton, pleaded guilty in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to drug driving.
Prosecutor Senior Constable Luke Lund told the court Forge had methamphetamines and cannabis in his system when police drug tested him in Westmorland Cres, Shepparton, on May 30, 2020.
Representing himself in court, Forge said he had broken up with his partner a month before the offences.
The court heard he had a prior drug driving conviction in 2016.
He pleaded with the magistrate not to take his driver’s licence from him; however, he was told it was out of the magistrates’ hands as the charge carried a mandatory minimum licence disqualification period of 12 months.
