A lengthy burnout has cost a Shepparton concreter his licence and $500 after facing court.
Kyle Renouf, 22, pleaded guilty at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to dangerous driving.
The court heard police saw Renouf perform a “20 to 30 second” burnout in a ute on Numurkah Rd near Hawkins St in Shepparton in October last year.
The prosecutor said other vehicles on the road had to slow down and almost stop to avoid Renouf.
Renouf represented himself in court and said he was serving a three-month licence suspension due to demerit points.
Magistrate David Faram fined Renouf $500, acknowledging he’d already paid $1300 to get his vehicle back after it was impounded following the incident, and cancelled his licence, disqualifying him for six months.
