Doses will also be available at the GV Health vaccination hub in Shepparton, Mansfield District Hospital and Kilmore District Health.
The two mobile vaccination bus hubs, Maxine Vaccine and Jabba the Bus, will also be helping deliver the winter vaccination program.
People who are aged over 65, residents of aged care or disability services, severely immunocompromised people over 16 and First Nations people over age 50 can receive a winter dose.
People who are eligible can have their winter dose four months after getting their third vaccine dose, or four months after a confirmed COVID-19 infection, if they caught it after their third dose.
GV Health COVID-19 vaccination program medical lead Dr Helen Roberts said the winter vaccine was an additional dose designed to increase protection.
“A winter dose is important as it can help prevent waning immunity (loss of protection) against COVID-19,“ she said.
“(It’s) particularly (important) for those people who are at greatest risk of severe illness from COVID-19 and those that have immune systems that need some extra support.’’
The GV Health vaccination program recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, where it administered 215,000 doses within the GV Public Health Unit catchment area.
Seventy per cent of people in the area aged over 16 have received three doses, while 53 per cent of children aged five to 11 having been given their first doses.
