The Wheel to Wheel motorcycle show, held at the Benalla Visitor Information Centre over the weekend, was a resounding success.

The event was staged to gauge interest and test the feasibility of a motorcycle festival in Benalla, celebrating the art, design and function of motorcycles with a view to establishing an annual themed event on a larger scale next year.
Twenty-four unique motorcycles were displayed in a beautiful setting over three days.
These motorcycles were selected to represent a snapshot of the evolution in design and use of two-wheeled transport in the 20th century, from everyday use to special purpose machines.
There were many conversations and stories exchanged about experiences in all aspects of motorcycling from owning, riding and sport to collecting and restoring old machines.
The organiser, Benalla Motorcycle Festival, would like to thank the staff at the Visitor Information Centre for their outstanding support, everyone who visited the event and, importantly, the owners who willingly loaned organisers their machines for the event.
Benalla Motorcycle Festival is a non-profit Benalla-based group of volunteers dedicated to promoting Benalla and surrounding communities.
The organising committee will soon be seeking sponsors to help fund the cost of future events and is working on a website with contact information and future plans.
