Moira Shire Council has welcomed The Mailbox Cafe on Main St in Strathmerton as the 22nd visitor information point partner.
Manager Cindy Sheahan and her team opened the new cafe in April this year after the old one was damaged by fire. It has become an ever-popular spot for visitors and locals alike.
Moira Shire Council sustainable communities director Rosanne Kava said the location was key for visitors coming north from Shepparton to the Newell Hwy.
“The visitor information point (VIP) at Strathmerton services the visitors coming across the shire from the west via the Murray Valley Hwy at the important junction with the Numurkah Rd,” she said.
“We are forecasting more than 20,000 visitors and locals will visit the Strathmerton Mail Box Café this year. VIPs reach more visitors in more location, wherever they are across Moira Shire.
“They are a key to increasing visitor spend across the region and provide the highest possible exposure for local business to visitors across Moira Shire.”
