If you’ve found yourself stuck in traffic along Echuca Rd, Mooroopna, you’re not alone.
Regional Roads Victoria is completing major works along the stretch of Echuca Rd near the BP and old Coles building.
The works began in March and are expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete.
RRV said the section of road would be rebuilt for “improved strength, durability and longevity”.
“We'll be removing the old road surface and constructing a new, stronger base, finished with a smooth and durable overlay,” the roadworks’ website said.
To complete the works, lane closures, detours and reduced speeds will be required.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time when travelling through the works.
During works on the section of road near the Midland Hwy a road closure will be required for vehicles travelling toward Echuca.
Traffic will be required to detour using the Midland Hwy and Tatura-Undera Rd.
Motorists will need to use Lancaster-Mooroopna Rd for access to Mooroopna North.
