Community members and ex-servicemen and women gathered at the Deniliquin Cenotaph on Monday, in commemoration of fallen Australian soldiers for Remembrance Day.

The Cenotaph was inundated with people from across the local community, paying their respects.
The Deniliquin Fire + Rescue station fire alarm sounded to start off the solemn ceremony, marking 11am.
It was followed by a minute of silence, during which the CBD was quieter than usual, expect for the passing of cars, showing the utmost respect for those Australians who have fallen in the heat of war protecting us.
Local councillors were also on hand to address the community, with Edward River Council Mayor Ash Hall speaking to the importance of the day and commemorations of those fallen.
In the following wreath laying ceremony, Cr Hall was joined by Deputy Mayor Kellie Crossley in leaving a token on behalf of Edward River Council.
Also leaving floral tributes were representatives of the Deniliquin RSL Club and Deniliquin RSL Sub-branch, Deniliquin’s fire services, local schools and other individuals and groups.
