It’s been several years since Team Vinny, an initiative run by local couple Ricky and Jodi Symes to raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal, was established.

In 2021, at just three weeks old, their son, Vinny Symes, tragically passed away at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
The couple turned their grief into something positive and raise funds each year to support the wonderful work done for children across Victoria at RCH in Melbourne.
This year was no different and on Easter Saturday, April 19, friends and family donned their blue Team Vinny T-shirts and took part in a range of fundraisers.
Those included selling delicious food and hosting a raffle.
There was also head-shaving with Chloe, from Chloe and Co Hair, at the fundraiser giving some of the volunteers a new look.

Benalla CFA came along to support Team Vinny's Good Friday Appeal fundraiser, with youngsters having an opportunity to sit in a fire engine.
