ClubMulwala’s Entertainment Co-ordinator Trish Storer said the talent quest is always an extraordinary event at the club with plenty of local and visiting children taking part.
“The Talent Quest was again a great success attracting a great variety of talented youngsters ranging in age from 5 years to 17 years,” Ms Storer said.
“This year we had many dancers including tap, lyrical and contemporary dancers, as well as vocal soloists and musicians. We had 18 entries in total.
“The quest continues to expose some real up and coming talent which is awesome to witness, but it’s also a great chance for kids to just have a go at performing, and we love to see that.
“All of the entries were commended on their presentation, preparation and most importantly their willingness to have a go. Each of you should be very proud.
“For the second time we put a call out to our local entertainers who gave freely of their time to be judges over the two days. They were ‘blown away’ by the talent on show and applauded each of the entrants on their talent and willingness to have a go.
“Choosing winners in each of the age-groups is always a challenge but we hope that all entrants will walk away having enjoyed the experience and continue to work on their talents.
“Many thanks to Anthony Tenace for managing all the sound requirements, to the fabulous Jade Camden as MC and the wonderful local entertainers for volunteering their time in order to support the kids - Paul Lines, Mick Carmellotti, Ray Macartney, Barb Hird, Heather Chapman and Antonia Maher.
“Lastly thanks to all the families and audience for supporting the kids.”
