Visiting musicians wowed the concert series subscriber audience, who were there to support the launch of the 2025 concert series program.
South West Music events and communications manager Gemma Rennie said the attendance was encouraging, and using the Town Hall for the event was special.
“It was amazing; people were up and about, and it was really exciting to do something at the Town Hall.
“It was our first time, and it was fantastic acoustically.”
The event was headlined with a spectacular performance by Heart & Soul, performing work from the Great American Songbook.
“They had a big sound, which filled the space.
“They are a seven-piece jazz band and two beautiful singers.”
Mrs Rennie said the launch highlighted a range of events that can be accessed through the 2025 concert series subscription.
“There will be a variety of events throughout 2025, available with the subscription of $120.
“It entitles you to classical, jazz, family, children and young children performances - there’s something for everyone.”
“The access you get is great.”
If you didn’t get a chance at the launch to purchase your subscription, call in to the South West Music Regional Conservatorium at 241 Cressy St.
As for what else is coming up at South West Music, Mrs Rennie said to “stay tuned”.
“We’re very busy at the moment doing plenty of community engagement activities including our recent Cafe Tour.”
“We’re also planning some school holiday activities.”
