It was a finale fitting for a turbulent year, with hampers and mementos presented to departing staff members Jacob Gillie, Rachel Olson and Mandy Mead, and a range of awards given out to students.
Principal Geoff Weppner was chuffed at the occasion’s success, and was grateful to be able to host the students’ loved ones on campus once again.
“It was wonderful to be able to welcome parents and carers back onto the school grounds again after such a long absence, to share this special evening together,” he said.
Ella Wood, Madeleine Shannon and Jai Stephens took out the three major gongs for achievement, endeavour and citizenship while a host of other accolades were handed out on the day.
Alyssa and Tory Wilson took home the Years 4 and 5 prizes respectively while the positive school attitude honour was bestowed to Giselle Wren.
Amy Wyatt and Darci Carmody were recognised for their efforts in the community and Lilly Graham left with the care, willingness and achievement award.
In the specialist section, Kacey Beurs was named winner of the junior library award while Olivia Hanley scooped the senior category.
The Vicki Whinray Memorial art award belonged to Noah Beurs and Axel Henderson, and Ella added to her collection by taking out the senior music award alongside Mia Tonizzo who won the junior category.
Ella also popped up in the physical education category, winning the senior award alongside Madeline Shannon, while Sadie Wren and Ella Carter edged out the rest of the junior competition.
