The initiative will see council administrator Peter Stephenson hitting the road and making himself available in towns across the municipality to answer questions regarding his appointment.
Mr Stephenson said it was a chance for residents to ask any burning questions or seek clarifications following council’s suspension.
“We know there are lots of people in the community who would like to chat about this decision and what it means for council,” he said.
“I’d encourage anyone who would like to attend to do so.
“I’m more than happy to discuss any concerns with the community to ensure this transition is well understood.”
Booking for a meeting is essential.
Meetings will be a maximum of 15 minutes per person.
Here are the dates and locations for the meetings:
- Euroa Community Conference Centre. Tuesday, February 27 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Open to Longwood residents.
- Violet Town Community Centre. Tuesday, March 5 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
- Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre. Tuesday, March 12 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Open to Graytown residents.
- Strathbogie Memorial Hall. Tuesday, March 26 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
- Ruffy Tablelands Community Centre. Tuesday, April 9 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Mr Stephenson said his interim appointment was set to run until Wednesday, March 6.
“We understand these sessions run past the advised appointment period; however, we will be sure to keep the community posted in relation to arrangements beyond this period,” he said.
