The display is located on Hay Ave — Cobram's first war memorial.
St Joseph’s Primary School teacher Carmel Natale said the students would usually attend a public service in Cobram, which is not on this year due to coronavirus restrictions.
“Our four school captains will go to lay a wreath after the service at the memorial and, at 11 am, our students will stand for a minute's silence,” Mrs Natale said.
Different classes made poppies for the display using crepe paper and cellophane.
Mrs Natale said her students were very respectful of Remembrance Day.
“We like to support the community and we think it's important that the students know the story,” she said.
“Our veterans won't be around forever, so our young people will continue that respect and be gathering for generations to come.
“This is their part to play to remember the sacrifice of their veterans and know how lucky they are.”
