St Joseph’s Primary School in Cobram has had to cancel its 100-year reunion which was to be held on Saturday, October 15, due to lack of ticket sales.
Organisers had promised attendees a great time full of entertainment, gourmet finger food, dessert, tea and coffee.
However, despite the positive messaging, it become clear that it had come to naught and the reunion was cancelled after a school committee meeting on Monday, October 3.
However, the school tours and a celebratory mass were conducted on October 15 as planned.
Earlier this year the school celebrated its 100-year birthday. The school opened in 1922 with 65 students, from Grades 1 to 8 and has since seen thousands of students enter its gates.
