The organiser behind the All Abilities Talent Show, Georgie Tomlin, said the show would provide an opportunity for people with disabilities to be who they wanted to be and not be judged for it.
“I know that people with disabilities want to express themselves, and when they perform they finally have that chance to be themselves,” she said.
“No-one’s judging you, you can be whoever you want.”
Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Graeme Emonson said in October that last year’s All Abilities Talent Show was a highlight of the year.
“With 17 acts showcasing a range of talents, from singing and dancing to instrumental performances, the crowd couldn’t help but sing, clap and dance along,” he said.
Expressions of interest for participating in the talent show closed on Wednesday, November 6.
The All Abilities Talent Show will be held at the Cobram Civic Centre on Friday, December 6.
The show will begin at 10.30am and finish at around 12.30pm, and will be followed by a sausage sizzle put on by the Cobram Lions Club.
The free event is organised by Moira Shire Council in partnership with the All Abilities Advisory Committee, Cobram & District Specialist School, Providing All Living Supports, NCN Health and Cobram Community House.
