The News went to Gowrie St Primary School in Shepparton to ask students what makes their dad the best dad.
Milla Garner: Prep
I like it when my dad makes me smile and laugh. He does funny things like with Aunty Claire, every time Dad drives her car he drives fast and it makes me laugh. He takes us different places like friends’ houses and Rebound. He also makes me a good lunch every day.
Elisha Malimingi: Year 1
My dad buys me new shoes and he cooks yummy food. We watch films but the best one is Minions. We go to the parks and run around and enjoy the sun. He reads me books, too.
Christine Pedder: Prep
He takes me to the park with my brothers. He makes me laugh. My dad cooks me food, but my favourite is eggs with chips. We watch movies and eat popcorn and ice-cream.
Eddie Fetu: Year 1
I love my dad because he loves me. We went to the zoo with the school and Dad came with us. He takes me to the library and we both get books. He gets me candy when Mum’s not looking. He got us a little dog called snoop. He took me to see his cousins in New Zealand.
Jhamari Kerr: Prep
My dad is the best because he plays games with me and Fortnite. He plays tag with me but he always wins because he is too fast. He makes me laugh by doing funny faces and making jokes. He also takes me to McDonald’s and I get a Happy Meal.
Mathew Brierley: Year 2
He buys me Plushies and plays Minecraft with me — he helped me build an entire mansion. He brings me to school and packs me lunch and he never forgets to bring my Plushies. On some weekends we got to Rushworth and go see his friends, and when we get back we play games together.
