Services Australia’s “Golden Wattle” mobile service centres are travelling across northern Victoria to offer locals easy access to Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support services.
The 20-tonne trucks are operated by Services Australia staff and are designed to provide face-to-face service and tailored support.
The Golden Wattle will visit the following areas on these dates;
- Yarrawonga — January 18 and 19 at council car park, Piper St;
- Cobram — January 20 and 21 at Woolworths carpark on Dillion st;
- Numurkah — January 24 and 25 opposite the town hall on Knox St;
- Nathalia — January 27 and 28 opposite the post office on Blake St;
- Tatura — January 31 near Wilma Wilson Garden park on Walshe St;
- Kyabram — February 1 and 2 opposite the community centre on Lake St; and
- Tongala — February 3 near the shire office on Mangan St.
Staff on board can help with Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations and assistance accessing online services.
Information will also be available about the Department of Veterans Affairs programs and support services will also be available.
All services offered will be conducted with strict COVID-19 precautions in place.
