On Saturday, March 18, the event will be held at the school on Broadway St, Cobram, between 9am and 2pm, with free entry for all.
Deputy principal Stephanie Arundel said the family-friendly event would have something for everyone to enjoy.
“Food stalls, fresh produce, preserves, cake stall, continental stall, coffee, showbags, mystery bags, entertainment and rides for the kids, petting zoo, hampers, silent auction, plant stall, spinning wheel,” she said.
“(There will be) performances by the students from all classes and a dunk tank with some of the teachers braving the cold.”
Principal Sarah Iddles said all money raised would go back to the school.
Money raised from past fetes has been used to purchase the school’s pirate playground, smart TVs for the classrooms and helped fund other improvements to the school.
“This year part of the money will go towards new drinking bubblers for the students and stage two of our shade sails over the downball courts,” Ms Iddles said.
Ms Iddles said the event would not be possible without the school fete committee, whose members donated their time and resources to the event, as well staff members both past and present who put in countless hours.
“The fete would simply not be possible without this massive workforce behind it,” she said.
Mrs Arundel is hoping attendees have a fun day experiencing the wonderful family community and culture that St Joseph’s has to offer.
“Please come along, support our school, bring an empty shopping bag and a big appetite! We have plenty of delicious homemade food on offer and lots of stalls to browse,” Mrs Arundel said.
The school fete has been part of Cobram’s social events calender for over four decades.
