Remembrance Day comes early for the 3rd Cavalry Regiment Association in Tongala as its members commemorate their fallen soldiers with a ceremony.
The annual service for the 3rd Cavalry Regiment Association will be held on Thursday, October 24 at the Cavalry Memorial in Tongala.
Veterans and their close family members will march from the Tongala RSL down the main street in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the wars and in the past 12 months.
The parade will include veterans, students and soldiers from 3/4 Cavalry regiment based at Puckapunyal. Two M113AS4 will also be in the parade.
The day will consist of the update of the Avenue of Honour at 11am, followed by the street march beginning at 1.15pm and then a service held at the Cavalry Memorial.
