As part of the funding package, NCN Health will receive $351,000 for theatre and equipment upgrades at the Cobram and Numurkah campuses.
A total of 128 health projects across regional and remote Victoria will gain from the multimillion-dollar package including hospitals, community health services and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
Modernisation and expansion are the themes of the spending splurge with plans to improve operating theatres and create better access routes to medical facilities as well as build or expand waiting rooms and consulting rooms.
The funding will also be used to buy more hospital beds.
The state government is estimating that the funding will create hundreds of new jobs.
It is all part of the Andrews Government’s Regional Health Infrastructure Fund which has seen more than $15 billion invested in health since 2014.
Ms Thomas has said that investment is part of the Andrew’s Government's desire to ensure the best possible care for regional and remote living Victorians.
“Investing in health isn’t just about new hospitals — you’ve also got to deliver all the specialised services people need close to home” Ms Thomas said.
Meanwhile, Mr Gepp believes the RHIF will ensure the best health treatments for the region.
‘’Through the RHIF, we’re supporting health services like NCN Health deliver tailored solutions that are best suited to their patients and staff,” Mr Gepp said.
