Deniliquin North Public School, Edward Public School, Blighty Public School and Conargo Public School all continued the annual tradition of Book Week.
The concept was established in 1919 and is the longest-running national children’s literacy initiative in the country.
Schools create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to the theme to highlight the importance of reading.
The theme read, grow, inspire encompasses the meaning of the power that books and stories have to inspire positive change.
