Father Jackson Saunders conducted the mass with special guests Sister Cecilia and Margaret in attendance.
College captains Sam Clydesdale and Liliana Emonson were officially welcomed into the leadership positions, along with house captains for Delaney, Brigidine and Augustine.
Community leaders and Catholic Social Teaching Leaders were also named at the mass.
Principal Jay Sutton said he was looking forward to working closely with all members of the college community for a common goal — the development of students.
“St Augustine's provides a sense of belonging and support to its students,” Mr Sutton said.
“Our Learning for Life program develops critical thinking and allows students to face problems and challenges that will help to bring their dreams to life.”
Mr Sutton reinforced the school motto of “common ground common unity and common good”.
