Now you can land the tricks and see them after the installation of floodlights at the Victoria Park Lake Skate Park in Shepparton.
The lighting upgrade will allow for extended hours of use throughout the year.
The lights will automatically operate from sunset until 11pm during daylight saving time and until 10pm during standard time, supporting after-school and after-work activities while being considerate of nearby residents.
Council director infrastructure Gary Randhawa expressed enthusiasm about the project’s completion.
“Council is pleased to see this project completed, with skate park users now able to enjoy the benefits of year-round use,” he said.
“The lighting will ensure the skate park remains a safe and welcoming space for local skaters, BMX riders and visitors.”
