The meeting was chaired by NCN Health chief executive officer Mark Ashcroft, who took the opportunity to recognise the hard work and achievements of many of the organisation’s staff and volunteers.
Mr Ashcroft said it was a highlight of the AGM to present the staff and volunteers awards.
“These awards celebrate many achievements and improvements across the health service, and acknowledge any staff or volunteer who has been with the health service for 10 years or more,” he said.
“Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, your contribution to local health has had a significant positive impact on our community. Thank you.”
At the meeting, NCN Health Board director chair Tricia Quibell presented the organisation’s annual report for the 2023-24 financial year.
“I thank the NCN Health Community Advisory Committee and consumer committees and their respective chairs and members who provide the board with invaluable connection to our community,” she said.
“These committees have key roles in ensuring we meet all the regulatory, reporting and relevant standards and commitments in accordance with the government agreements at both Commonwealth and state levels and help NCN Health give effect to its strategic planning initiatives.
“It is important for our community, our staff, volunteers and our service partners to hear me, on behalf of the board, say thank you to our staff.
“Thank you for your patience as we have navigated some uncertainty in relation to health and budget reforms, your patience as we have progressed with capital works, your compassion for the people in our care and your collegiality in working closely with us in partnership for the benefit of our communities.”
