Three grassroots sport and active recreation organisations have received a share in more than $3000 from the Victorian Government in the latest round of the Sporting Club Grants Program.
Nagambie Soccer Club will receive $1000 for uniforms.
Riding for the Disabled Association of Victoria in Seymour will receive $990 to replace uniforms lost in the floods.
The 1st Broadford Scout Group will receive $1170 to train new youth leaders.
The grants give clubs up to $1000 for new uniforms and equipment, up to $2000 for training coaches, officials and volunteers, and up to $5000 to improve club operational effectiveness.
The program aims to make community sport more accessible and inclusive by bolstering clubs’ coaching skills and administration expertise or buying new sports equipment.
Since 2015, the grants program has invested more than $15.5 million across the state.
