Libro Mustica, Kevin J Bourke, Wayne Limbrick, Peter Elliott, Peter Mansfield, Marie Martin, Andrew Goldman, Julie Brooks and Peter Joseph Lawless were elected to Moira Shire Council at the election held in October.
The successful councillors will take their oath or affirmation of office at a council meeting today.
The new mayor will also be elected at the meeting.
Mr Mustica said he was honoured to receive the most first preference votes, at 2477.
“I'm the only directly elected councillor with my primary votes and it's an incredible achievement,” he said.
“There's a fair bit of stuff I'd like to do in Cobram, whether it's footpaths, playgrounds — there's all sorts of things we can do.”
Mr Mustica is the longest continuously serving mayor in the Moira Shire and will once again be putting his hand up for the role.
“I believe I'm in a position to help get these projects delivered,” he said.
“It's about advancement for the whole community, the Moira Shire is a great place and in a couple of years, it will be highly sought out as a place to live.
“I'd like to thank everybody that voted and I’ll do my utmost best to support their needs.”
The councillors will represent their community on Moira Shire Council until the next general council election in October 2024.
