Residents may register their property for a free structural review and environmental health assessment on council’s website.
Hard waste collection for any properties that have been impacted by the recent floods will also be soon undertaken by council.
From Monday, December 12 to Friday, December 16 waste contractors will be collecting flood-affected waste from kerbsides in Barmah.
They will also be collecting in Kotupna (Wakiti Creek) on Wednesday, December 14 and in Nathalia on Monday, December 19 and Thursday, December 22.
Residents are being reminded to place all items that they wish disposed of on the kerbside the night before the collection date.
There will be other collections for more locations scheduled soon but residents with flood waste can call council on 5871 9222 to register for a collection.
The Moira Shire Council’s chief executive officer Clare Keenan said council stands by the residents and wanted to help those in need.
“Our teams are very active in the community conducting impact assessments and managing the clean-up, however we understand our residents are facing a diverse range of challenges, so please come in and see us at the recovery hub or the mobile van with any difficulties, big or small.”
