The search for a Yarroweyah man who went missing on Thursday, August 24 has ended in tragedy.
The 78-year-old was found dead in a fatal crash at Burramine on Friday morning.
Police said emergency services were called to the Murray Valley Hwy after reports a vehicle had been located in a channel off the road at 9.30am.
The man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found dead in the vehicle, however the exact circumstances of the crash remain unknown.
Police had been appealing for help to locate the man after he was last seen at 7.30pm on Thursday.
At the time police said he was leaving an address on Churchill Rd in Yarroweyah to drive to a family member’s address on Hills Rd.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
