On Thursday, September 5, the students put on a mini concert for visitors and had their artwork on display throughout the school’s classrooms.
Junior students performed dances, choreographed by prep teacher, Jenny Howlett, and senior students sung along with Mrs Connors, who played the ukulele.
Deanne McNair, an administration and education support officer at the school, said the students were excited to get on stage and perform.
“They were awesome. We had a huge crowd of parents and grandparents come along, which was great,’’ she said.
“We like to get the community into the school to see what we offer and have been working on with the kids.’’
A variety of artworks were exhibited, including pencil and pastel drawings, paintings, kites, weaved popsicle sticks, dream-catchers, and more.
The Art Extravaganza is held once every two years, alternating annually with a school performance.
