Locals and visitors again dug deep for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal with Echuca-Moama again giving generously — raising almost $126,000 — placing the twin towns in the top five on the regional tally board. From Torrumbarry $20,049 to Tongala $8505, people emptied their pockets to help contribute to another record-breaking appeal, with $23,822,792 raised.

For those needing a break from their chocolate and seafood indulgences, a myriad of sports were played across the long weekend, including racing, traditional clashes on the football field and netball courts, as well as the annual tennis tournaments.
