October being Mental Health Month, it’s time once again to talk about this voodoo subject, which goes hand in hand with that nasty word ‘suicide’. I am one of the few who put pen to paper and talk about it.

It has been difficult to get to this stage — many tears have been shed, namely because of my brother’s death by suicide. He must have been in great pain to follow through with the suffering he must have been through to get to the stage he got to. The pain — it also endowed family and friends, loved ones, children, parents, siblings, and the list goes on. You don’t know if you haven’t been there.
This year I am going to commemorate his death by going to Corowa races and play lady dress-ups and Oaks Day lady dress-ups at the Sporties. It should be a fun day and all!
There’s also the trots in Cobram. Maybe I should support Cobram, we’ll see.
