Ms O’Keeffe’s name was drawn first by the Victorian Electoral Commission’s software, with many candidates in attendance at the early voting centre in High St, Shepparton.
The Greens’ Ian Christoe is second on the ballot ahead of Animal Justice Party’s Katherine Taylor and Labour DLP Susie McGrath.
Diane Teasdale, running for the Freedom Party of Victoria, is fifth on the ballot, then Labor’s Liam Cowan, Liberal Cheryl Hammer and independent and current State Member for Shepparton Suzanna Sheed.
Family first Victoria’s Alison White has the ninth and final spot on the ballot.
Early voting centres will be open from 9am to 6pm on Monday at 126-128 High St, Shepparton, and 92 McLennan St, Mooroopna.
Voting centres will then be open from 8.30am each weekday until the election, closing at 8pm on Tuesday, November 15, Thursday, November 17 and Thursday, November 24.
All other weekdays, centres close at 6pm, with voting open at those centres from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, November 19.
No early voting is available on Sunday, November 20.
