A highlight of the night will be items performed together by the Rev Gemma and Catherine Browning, with Amelia Wells on flute. This will be the only Christmas service at St Stephen’s.
Refreshments will be served after the service, and the Christmas Hamper raffle will be drawn on the night. All welcome to attend.

Parishioners of St Joseph’s Catholic Church witnessed their second baptism for the year on Sunday.
Baby Sienna Sandy O’Brien, daughter of Jenna and Bryce O’Brien, was baptised during the 10.30am Mass by Father Cyprian Onuorah, and was supported by many of Sienna’s immediate and wider family. She behaved beautifully.

St Andrew’s Uniting Church will hold a Christmas service on Sunday, December 22, at 7pm.

The Jerilderie Sports Club is hosting a Family Christmas at the club next Friday, December 20, starting at 5.30pm. There will be raffles, activities for the kids and, of course, a visit from Santa.

Input to the Murrumbidgee Council survey concerning the proposal to reduce the speed limit on the Newell Highway from Bolton St to Kennedy St to 40 km/h through the shopping/commercial centre of Jerilderie closes this Friday, December 13.

Copies of the 2025 Lions calendar have been delivered to all houses around the town of Jerilderie. On Sunday afternoon, Lions members, assisted by a group of young helpers, delivered a calendar to each household.
If you didn’t receive a calendar, some spares will be available at the newsagency, but check in your mailbox or on your front door step first.

A walk around the lake can be fraught with all sorts of unexpected incidents and meet-and-greets, not the least of which is a tame and overfriendly young magpie which has taken a fancy to alighting on people’s heads and wanting to play.
