State Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe is urging people to take part in the Nationals’ cost-of-living survey.
The survey is a series of short questions to help the party better understand the issues regional Victorians are facing and how to best advocate for their needs.
Ms O’Keeffe said her office had been “inundated” with people who had been experiencing financial strain.
“Families right across the Shepparton District are struggling to make ends meet, pay bills and put food on the table, with the average Victorian family grocery bill now $1565 more than last year and electricity prices up 23 per cent,” she said.
“Many Victorians are being forced to cut back or delay paying bills so they can keep their car on the road, food on the table, kids at school, medicines in the cupboard and a roof over their head.”
Families and businesses are encouraged to complete the short survey at vicn.at/costofliving
