Two Goulburn Valley sporting clubs have shared in close to $7500 in funding awarded by Greater Shepparton City Council.
Tallygaroopna Football Netball Club received $4975 under the sports aid category to fund jumpers for its new junior football program.
Shepparton Swimming Club was awarded $2461 in the Women and Girls category to go towards advanced coaching and development coaching courses.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said council was pleased to allocate funding back into the community to support local sporting clubs and organisations.
“This funding is ready and waiting to be awarded each round, so I encourage sporting clubs and organisations in our region to consider applying,” he said.
The Our Sporting Future Funding Program assists community organisations with small to medium-sized facility development, women and girls sport development and youth participation sport projects in the region.
The first round of the 2022/23 Our Sporting Future Funding Program is open for applications now.
