Cheyenne Clark has spent seven years at the primary school, making life-long memories and friends.
Cheyenne said her time at the school had been “really fun”.
“It feels like forever ago when I started here,” she said.
Having attended kindergarten in Girgarre as well, Cheyenne’s a true local girl.
Teacher of grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 Ashleigh Buckland said in Cheyenne’s time at the school, staff and students had had the pleasure of watching her grow into a kind and considerate person.
“We hope she’ll take the values from our school on to her next journey,” she said.
Moving on from Girgarre Primary School, Cheyenne will attend Kyabram P-12 College, where her sister is already a student.
Taking part in a transition week this month will give the now senior student a new look at what’s ahead.
While the future is a little daunting, Cheyenne is looking forward to taking the next step in life and in her education.
“I am pretty scared to start high school,” Cheyenne said.
“But I think it will be good to meet new people and stuff.
“I’m looking forward mostly to doing art subjects and cooking, but not math.”
While only 11 years old, Cheyenne has big hopes of helping the world after school, with ambitions of becoming either a doctor or a vet.
“Mostly I just want to become a doctor so I can help my sisters and brothers, so they don’t get hurt any more when they’re playing,” she said.
“They always manage to get injured, I’m the only one that hasn’t had stitches!“
Her aspirations of becoming a vet stem from being a huge animal lover at heart, and unfortunately, Cheyenne lost a beloved cat due to injuries.
“Since then, I wanted to become a vet so I can help people in that position,” she said.
“I don’t want people to have to go through hard stuff like that.”
The Grade 6 student will have a small graduation celebration at the Kyabram Club to farewell her time at the Girgarre school.
